Ep. 80: Workplace Communication & FM Leadership | Lisa Chappell - Mission Fed

March 13, 2018

Overview

Lisa Chappell is Vice President of Corporate Facilities at Mission Federal Credit Union in San Diego, and on this episode of the podcast, she offers us motivation for communicating with our teams. Mike Petrusky asks Lisa about her work with IFMA and she shares how team building works best when we develop deep relationships with people as a part of the process. Lisa believes that facility managers must seek mentorships and education so they can have a focus on leadership and contributing to their organization’s success. Lisa shares real world lessons from a major tenant improvement build out project she is currently in the midst of and talks about the major changes taking place involving workplace experience strategies. Mike and Lisa talk about how connecting with others at IFMA conferences and building solid partnerships with service providers who can provide expertise is essential when planning for the future. Learning and growing as individuals is essential if we are to face the challenges of the future workplace and Mike gets inspired to sing when Lisa suggests that we need to listen, learn, be open-minded and “just roll with it” when dealing with changes!
